Unfortunately this isn't my first and certainly not my last I believe, there's a price to pay for living in a sunburnt country.
I'm very cautious now and take preventative action as much as possible.

Hope you healed well Chris.

I know all about the skin cancer scourge.  I'm a (now retired) field entomologist and worked outside in horticultural crops for the majority of my working life - plus having grown up beachside in Adelaide.

I think I'm up to a little over 20 surgeries including 2 skin grafts (on my head) and have just survived a month of Tolak skin treatment.  Sheeeeit!, avoid that if at all possible. I have a full body scan every 6 months.

Still, better than the alternative.

Cheers, SB

I have a fortnightly appointment with my skin doctor because of the BCC's I've got. The usual appointment consists of cutting one out then have the nurse remove stitches from the procedure done two weeks prior. This one was a bit more serious than the usual BCC or SCC.
If you look like your passport photo then you're too sick to travel.

That must have been a big one.

Also interesting to see the diffence in (treatment) healing technique.

"We" Dutch mostly get stitched instead of stapled on the outside.

At least they didn't have to shave your head first.  :)

Sorry to hear about the damn c Chris, you have given me a reminder that I should cover up too.
I spend 10/15 hours driving every day and people have been telling me to sort myself out.
Wish you a speedy recovery.
