Ecky thump was an ancient Yorkshire marshal art that stayed hidden in the caves below Ilkley moor(bartat) for many years .
Only known and practiced by a very seclect few .
Then the goodies put it on TV for the world to see and partially ruined the secret .
Luckily it's now mostly returned to its roots and is slipping from the greater populations thoughts again.
