Anyone here used ABE for anything?  What's their quality like?

If my memory serves me correctly, I bought a set of fork legs off them (many many moons ago), they started rusting/pitting within the year!

I can guarantee you'll get a response of good/bad experiences ... what'ya thinking of purchasing?

Another set of disks, I've had 3 sets of ebc disks over the last two years, first set rusted up within 3 months, second set were warped within 9 months and the third set are warped now, so I wont be buying ebc disks ever again.

I bought a set of the EBC Prolite discs for my B12, never felt that the brakes were as good as OEM ... yet some people swear by EBC!!

Good luck, let us know what you go for  :hat:

Never had EBC rotors but did once buy their rear pads. Rear rotor was perfect just needed pads. Within a few weeks they wrecked rotor and sounded awful,  like metal to metal, just terrible. new Metal Gear disc, DP pads, perfect again. No one seems to rate DP, but have them front n rear, find them very good performance and price wise.

I have a pair of properly warped EBC front discs to add to the list.

Not gonna try them again.

I don't even like EBC pads so I'd never try their disks.

I got zone disks years ago as they were the cheapest, they work fine and have lasted too. I can't remember when I fitted them time wise but it was after warping the originals on the Org meet near Ullapool, Scotland.

I bought TiN coated stanchions pairs twice from ABE, later one slightly not standard to be able to fit Maxton SD25 internals. The latter on request, through just a couple of talks by e-mail and on the phone -- they even called Maxton directly to ensure the mods requirements. Both fitted nicely, and the first pair still looks like new after a few years. So, quite happy.

As for discs, I have bad experience with EBC. Warped even though not particularly used/marked. Also got a warped EBC rear disc (!) even though I use front much more than rear!
Now using Brembo discs, Supersport on the '14, and T-drive on the MVBrutale,  -- round, no fancy 'wave' or 'petal' with Brembo... -- very good feeling and performance, and as they are both full-floating, funny noise when pushing the bike back and forth in the garage :-)

EBC rotors not very good from your reports. Strange how so many rate them and their pads. Im happy with my lot, still original front rotors, Metal Gear rear rotor, DP pads. Protex fluid. Stop well, no noise, not much else required.

One of the original front rotors went kaput shortly after I bought the bike used.

Put EBC rotors on and 30k km later I am still very satisfied with them. Mind you I am picky.

Andre, at least one good review. I know how fussy you are.
