Batkwaka

Having picked the bike up last Friday, today it clocked 1300km but I can't get it serviced until Monday.
I pillioned Mrs Batty down to Dinner & a Movie for our Anniversary and she is not enthused by its pillion abilities. It is very nice Solo but with a pillion it becomes too rear bias for weight and doesn't pitch into to corners well.
It has an excellent gearbox and shift mechanism, smooth & fast which is handy because it does like to be shuffled through gears to maintain a smooth ride.
Solo it Turns and handles very nice and feels comfortable banked into a tight turn with neutral steering. Wide bars make for easy control over the bike in an exit.
Seat is a bit on the hard side and pillion pegs sit too high. I can't manage more than a couple of hours before getting soreness.
Petrol tank is rather small but riding economically it should manage a 320km range.
The range of electronic features (abs, TC, etc.) is excellent value but the Suzuki fuel range system is not as good as the BMW one. Being able to change throttle settings on the fly though is in the Suzuki's favour. The different throttle settings are very noticeable as well.

All in all, an excellent Solo bike and will be perfect for my uses.
For me personally, I would take a new GSX1400 over a new GSX-8S every day.
May the sun be warm & shining and your roads be smooth & winding.

I see now a GSX8 R version.

Riding power modes?

I'd just set it to this and be done with it.
