The 'tank gap' reminds me of when I first sat on a white Tiger 1050. They've got a gap like that, which then joins at the front under the comedy LCD/TRFT clocks. Put your hands on the bars & look down, it's EXACTLY like looking down a toilet as you throw up on the morning after. Which is what I told the salesman & walked out having lost all interest in the bike.

Hooli, any new bikes you like? Only one, because it has old skool stuff, a bit of grunt, decent brakes etc. T120. Maybe i could live with one of those. Anyone tried one?

Not really looked at many new bikes Grog, except for HDs the other year. Obviously I like some of them as they are still old school with real clocks & no rider mode nonsense etc etc.

I'd expect the retro Triumphs to be similar. I was rather tempted by the 1200 Scrambler when I was looking to replace the Sprint, but then I saw the stupid TRFT clocks & lost interest. I'm the same with cars, one reason I drive something old (2000) is because it's an actual car not a computer game.

I'm looking at a new bike but I'm waiting for the rain to stop.

My car is 1999, 4AFE motor like a 14 motor, one of the best. All i need, bit small but everything fits in,  hates fuel stops, best stereo, cold AC, just did oil seals, timing belt, all fluids, ready for another 200 th k. It revs about same as 14, very sim tech on both. Suits me.I only look at other bikes because ive had 14 so long.Sell 14, add same again for T120, just doesnt seem right.

My car has an AJ27. One thing it doesn't like to do is pass fuel stations.

Picked it up yesterday, still needs the hand warmers attached, will have that done at the first service.
May the sun be warm & shining and your roads be smooth & winding.

along with the rest of the bike? Looks like they forgot the rear half?   :stir:
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Any comparison to riding 14 Batty? Power, weight etc ?

Certainly not as comfortable to ride or as smooth an engine. The pillion seat is too small. Tiny fuel tank.
It lacks the constant power of the 1400 and needs the gearbox to be happy. It is much lighter than the 1400 and gearshift is faster and smoother.
The gauges have some useful data available including a fuel range...but they're not real gauges, it's a fucking iPad.
Given the choice I would still prefer the 1400 but as far as working goes the GSX-8S is a excellent bike and will make me money.
