Lovely collection !

I can't remember the last time I saw a Z1R !

Yes black is best, that's a clearly established fact, contested only by "flat earth" types... :stir:
Ottomans: 'Hippity hoppity, Vienna's our property"
...and then the Winged Hussars arrived.

Z1R - I owned one of those from new, only kept it 7 months as in that time it had spent 5 months in the dealership having the crank replaced (twice) because it twisted under "rapid acceleration". Nice bike though, bettter than my previous Z900.

As for black is best......deluded  :stir:
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

To me the 14 in B&W is like Geoff Capes in a Tutu

The black is nice and fast but I think a touch of red makes it even faster

I love the Z1R..Always did.I'd give my left testicle for that one black14 :imrgreen:

And the 400/4..I restored a Mk1 blue one years ago, but it's great to see an original one in Canary Yellow :boogie:

Thanks for all the comments guys - appreciated.
Not sure what I'd do with your left one Froudy - answers on a postcard!!!  :rofl2:
That Blue 400/4 looks really good - top job!
Interesting for an early one to have the passenger pegs on the frame rather than the PAS (Passenger Assisted Suspension) that I thought all of the early ones had.
Barmy maybe you got a lemon - twice!! I rode a Z1R back in the day too  - absolutely flogged it and never had a problem. When I had the crank checked out on this one I was told no need for welding if you're going with an essentially stock motor. But I suspect you may know more about this than me - just quietly... :worshippy:

No..I'm not sure what you'd do with my left one either tbh..BUT it was worth a try :rofl2:

I put a lot of time and ££'s into that 400/4 and enjoyed doing it. I paid £100 for it. I had the original bill of sale, all the MOT's and service history..AND the original tool kit and Owners Handbook!!
It was sold in the end to a Japanese guy and went back home to Japan!
The pillion foot peg thing always remained a mystery to me too.
