A "Storm was brewing"

Did a long ride today on the new Avon Storm 3DXM's
I would say they need a good 130 miles to scrub in properly..
Once they have then they really are very good indeed..
I know a certain Mr Hooli rates them..
These are new to me as I have always used Michelins in the past, until they went stupid with prices..
My only regret with the storms is that I hadnt run them years ago !!
Very confidence inspiring (ONCE SCRUBBED IN!)..
Its such a pity these arent made any more..
If you hunt on Google there are a few around and various tyre dealers (Demon Tweeks is one)..
I read that Dunlop have taken over Avon..
They are keeping the Avon name (for now) on the Storm's replacement (The Spirit)..
The tread on the spirit looks very similar to the storm..
Lets hope its as good.

You've reminded me I've been planning to order a pair for my 14 and stash them away. I reckon I'll need them by the end of the year.

Every bike of mine runs Avons, they'd better not ruin them when production moves.

Now done around 1 thousand miles on the Storms..
They are certainly up there with the best tyres i have had..
Talk about "under the Radar"!!
Its a crying shame they have been taken over..
If Dunlop have any "Common" sense they will leave well alone with the Storms..
If its not broke then dont fix it..
I am seriously considering doing as Mr Hooli is doing and ordering a spare set whilst they still exist!

Chris, have a look at new Spirit price, now they are expensive.
