New EBC discs being put on over winter  - should I fit New pads at the same time or not?
old pads have lots of life left  :smile2:

That's a yes from me.
The existing pads are worn (albeit only slightly) to match the original disc & won't match the new ones.  They will wear down eventually & match but you'd have sub-optimal braking from your new disc's till then.  You could also reface the existing pads to be flat & true, similar to new pads, but less meat left on them.

If it were me doing the rotors, I'd just spring for new pads as well.  You sure there's no Scotsman in your ancestry?  Or are the Welsh as squeaky as the Scots & Yorkshiremen?  :whistling: :stir:

My Bike has EBC discs on Notty..
They were on when I bought the bike..
As you know they are expensive but bloody good..

I asked the guy I bought her off why new discs at only 6,000 miles?
He said the original failed the MOT due to being warped!!
I havent looked to see what pads my bike has in (Yet), so I cant say if they were changed or not.

Yes also from me Notty - I do the same on my cars/truck!
I need to go somewhere I've not been but won't know until I get there!

New pads Notty. Surprised you dont have a set. I like your UK made DP pads but thats just me.

You'll never sink if you fall into the ocean @Notty will you 😂😂😂

Throw the old pads as far as you can mate. New rotors & new pads you'll be surprised how good the braking is once they're bedded in 🙏🙏🙏

Best allrounder I've ever owned 👍

Always fit new pads with new disks.
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

Hooli

I'd fit new pads too & put the old ones on the shelf.

New pads are dead flat so they bed in the discs equally over their surface. In years to come when the discs are a bit uneven from use then the old pads could be used when you need replacements & it won't matter.

Mind you, that's for bikes that get ridden...

My EBC front pads have decided to tick at low speed. It's embarrassing, I find myself putting a bit of pressure on them to shut them up. They stop well but what to do to shut them up. Can only think the disc is clipping them on the way round. Pads are in good nick so am reluctant to bin them. Wondering if the are a tad small for the caliper opening. Surely they havn't worn the caliper.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Very common, it seems the backing plate is a smidge undersize as a lot of people find they move in the calipers. I did see one person glue a sliver of wood, I think it was wood, on the caliper at the bottom of the opening to take up the slack. When in use the pads will tend to move up so it won't affect braking at all.

I got failed for a Warrant of Fitness (your MOT) which pissed me off. Went home put the near worn out pads back in ......passed !!
Had thought about putting a dot of weld on them then filing to fit.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Col, never an EBC fan, i know favourites for others. I fitted to rear brake, so noisy, really bad, tin can on tin can. Grooved out rotor, few hundred ks, went into rubbish bin. Fitted Metal Gear pads n rotor, no prob for years. Your noise maybe just needs CRC Disc Quiet, every pad fitted at work has it applied, never a complaint. Never tried on bike, could fix it. No need for it with DP pads, quiet, do the job.

When I converted my T140 to twin disc I had the same problem, the pads were just a bit undersized, even though they came with the calipers...
I ran a bead of RTV along the bottom edge of the pad,.. clicking stopped.
