Storm hit us last night. Huge lightning show, it got a bit loud, rain came down hard but not for long.   Only got 15mm.

Today was supposed to be this week's wettest day but we didn't get a drop.

I wouldn't mind a bit of rain here.

I'll send some Tony - Raincouver has a surplus - I could also arrange a couple of feet of snow and subzero temps if you like!!
I need to go somewhere I've not been but won't know until I get there!

Weather is pretty messed up here.

Winter is normally our dry season but where I am we got a LOT of rain, Summer here is traditionally hot and wet (storm season), but so far we aren't getting much. Big storms often come in the new year.

No mains water, but I'm OK for a while yet. Very keen to avoid getting a tanker in at $160 a time.

I'll give your temps a miss though.
Very rare to see a frost here. I saw none in 18 years and only two since I moved.

Used to live in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.  Had some 50 degree days there.
Lucky no humidity or would've boiled like a lobster.

Yeah, I've been in Cairo / Egypt when they had a bit of a heat wave.  Stand in the sun and it was unbelievable, but step into the shade and there was huuuuge difference, more so than here, no humidity.

I see there's a notable lack of any Scottish owners on this thread complaining about the heat? I was out for a walk today in a jacket that would double for a sleeping bag (it's chilly) saw our postman in a pair of shorts and his winter t shirt :confused1:

I thought shorts were compulsory dress code for posties... :)

Mick_J

Our postie is still wearing shorts, it's fuckin' freezin' out and the idiot still got his shorts on, I don't think he has the sense to have a pay rise. :whistling:

Wow, just thinking, do your house roofs have to be made stronger to accommodate the extra weight?     My Mrs loves that white shit, only because she hardly ever see it, I,on the other hand have seen enough & am firmly in your camp on this.

Yes they do Col.  I'm no builder but there is a rule on the angle and strength of a roof to hold snow.  The lower the angle of dangle the stronger it has to be.

Been a bit brisk in the Uk
Started out with nothing, still got most of it left.

Irish in Oz

Decided to have a sleepover on the boat last night just to check it out as I probably won't be back down there until next year. All the pipe work was frozen to toilet and kitchen.
