OK, call me a ludite but if this is what bikes will become, bio machinery, with deep learning learning processors, balance control, 30 odd cameras etc then I'd quit riding lol

600Nm torque to the rear wheel?    There's Ute's that tow 3500kg trailers with less torque than that.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Same issue I always have, not enough carrying capacity, minimal pillion features. All the techno stuff I have no problem with, the more the better. Automatically recording  footage of hoolaginism and dropping it on social media could be concerning though.
May the sun be warm & shining and your roads be smooth & winding.

Agreed.

Same as 'Lecky cars.  I'd be very surprised if I get to see any impact in rural Australia in my lifetime.

In the motoring press there's regular features about 'Lecky Utes, how several brands are doing them, how they are going to be the next big thing (the top selling vehicles in the USA, Australia etc are Utes).

Then I say my basic bare bones Hilux has a tray over 2.5m long that takes two pallets or two IBC's, will carry over 1 tonne, has a range that can exceed 500k's and brand new costs around $25k, which 'Lecky ute is going to replace it ?  ... without even getting into the total lack of charging points and time.

Remember Tomorrow's World and all that type of shows ?
Where's my Hover Car, 3 course meal in a pill and trip to the moon etc etc.
I take predictions and vehicle ones in particular with a large pinch of salt.

Watch the dateline for the end of petrol engine production fall on its face and get changed.  Tree Huggers and Eco Warriors are away with the fairy's. They might have good intentions but they can't back them up with an alternative.

A mate is currently on a copper mine in Mongolia. Huge eco disaster, species serious at risk, lots of pollution, water supply getting used up well beyond rainfall replacement, ruining the place.... all to feed the fast growing markets over the border in China.   But it's all good, because the 'Lecky cars and bikes are nice and green.

Oh I hope you're right. I'd love to see the leccy car farce fall flat on its face. The amount of real environmental damage done in the name of an imaginary climate crisis is unbelievable.

It's not a future I would like to be in, eating worms and grass, owning nothing, can't drive or ride outside your own town, nowhere to park (if you do escape), no swearing, no looking at fitt chicks and all under sheria law.  Fuck it kill me now.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

There was a lot of fuss made over the Ford F150 Lightning.  In many respects it is a good electric ute, a lot of advantages and great features...

BUT

It turns out its really only suitable for around town, and despite theoretically being able to tow heaps, the range goes down to sweet fuck all (as in REALLY low) when a trailer is actually towed.

So yeah it'll take a while...

But the F150 lightning has a huge front 'boot' where you can store a petrol gennie to charge it....

Oh, ah, i see the problem....

I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.
