It's not for me, I've always thought the Katana was incredibly ugly. But it does look a quality job.

Very nice. I do like Kats.  I'd probably change the end cans but that's just personal taste. Very small point but a couple I've seen chop the panels under the fairing to fit the oil cooler ends, it stands out as being hacked, that one is much neater. 

Most bikes fit a niche, a type, even the GSX14 shares a style or image with the XJR etc, but the Kat never did.

To me the 11 / 1000 Kat was the Busa of its day, a big brute with a style of its own, prices are a bit salty now but I'd love to have another one, maybe one day.  Seen a few with the oilcooled Bandit 12, GSXR 11 motors which appeals to me.

One of the few bikes I regret selling.

I'm after an SD if it was an aircooled Kat. Black motor with slightly different internals, alloy pegs not rubber, 6 spoke early GSXR style wheels not early snowflake design. The best of the big Kats.

Alternatively I'd buy just a frame and panels as I have a healthy oilcooled motor and later running gear here. 

In reality I already have a long queue of projects, but what the Hell.
