It's still a few days to the start of summer.

It's normally a bit cooler on the coast, and a bit cooler up on the range, but the area inbetween often see's higher temps.

This was a while back, but I was at work in a trench all day laying stormwater pipes and water mains.

Ta for the reminder I never want to visit Oz!

Mr Gee

Didn't see much, today. Work cancelled, so stayed at home and watched the rain on the windows.  :whatever:

Dozed a bit and saw the saw the back of my eyelids.  :rofl2:

Should have gone out, to the garage and done a bit, more investigating of the 14's electrics but until it finally,

decides to pack up, for good, I really, don't know what else I can do.  :whatever:  :frustrated:  :deadhorse:  :lowside:

GSXKING

Possibly the worst truck accident I've ever witnessed.
Slowing down in the middle lane on a three lane freeway.
A semi in right lane ploughed into 6 almost stationary vehicles, the screaming of the people in those vehicles will haunt me for ever. I couldn't pull over but rang 000 to alert the authorities and leave a witness statement. There were no fatalities as reported on radio news.
The driver was wearing a red turban and had a large beard. So I'm guessing he'll be on a plane back to Mumbai today.

That sounds terrible Chris. Never nice to witness accidents.
Here in New Zealand they have just cancelled nearly 450 counterfeit commercial drivers licenses. All originated from the same country. Our trucking industry has been taken over by those that wear the twisted cotton crash helmet.... I wish they'd deport the whole dishonest lot back to where they came from.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

MickyJB

Sounds similar to Oz ... I doubt licences are checked properly. We go a lot of Interstate travel with our Caravan and we speak with a lot of the Truck Drivers towing multi trailers and the ones that don't reply either don't speak English or bother communicating. To keep things safe.

I did read they get a job showing they have a MC licence but that's for Motorcycles not MC ( Multi Combination ) licence 🥴🥴

Accidents are bad, and sometimes caused by bad roads, this country has a problem with pot holes.
My grandson sent me a pic to prove how bad it is.

Imagine hitting that on a bike ?

Hitting that would make a red squishy mess all over your bike! it's lucky kids are soft & burst or they might cause serious damage  :stir:

Possibly deserving of a road cone  :whatever:

Given how much the council would be sued for if someone got injured, I'm surprised it's like that.
