Hi everyone,
Just joined the forum. Originally from UK and now retired and living in France. Had a 1400 about 15 years ago, for a couple of years, till written off by a merc turning into me. Overall, the best bike I've had. Commuted on bikes for more than 20 years so had a few from supersports 600's, original full fat VMax, 6 cylinder Kawasaki ZG1300 and the ubiquitous 1200 Bandit (amongst a few others). Have a 2007 VROD at present and wasn't really looking for another bike but came across a blue/white K2 at such a steal I couldn't resist. She has about 85K kilometers (53K miles) and is in good nick for a 20 year old machine. Low, low price of course for a reason - she's a 5 speeder, yup no 2nd gear. She's gonna have to stay that way as simply not worth the expense of a tear down to fix. All fiddling, likewise, will have to be done for pennies. I'll optimise suspension settings, throttle action, drill backplate for 4 degree advance, open up air filter, pull the baffles from the original exhausts and fit a 17T front sprocket (a fiver off evilbay so can afford that lol). Probably about it. Will be a couple of weeks before I can pick her up and see what, if any, mods have already been done. None apparent, except for aftermarket seat, that I could see on check over and the brief test ride.
Looking forward to being a member of the forum :-)
Cheers all

Welcome.

Another 5 speed here, well, I have 6 but 3rd's a bit too noisey be be comfortable in so it's only a route from 2nd to 4th.

It's on my "not urgent jobs to do list"

Welcome mate.  That would bug me not having all gears.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.
