Stubby brake and clutch levers

Is anyone running stubby levers? (2-3 fingers use rather than whoie hand) or has run them in the past?

How do you find them?

I bought a set of extendable ones which I thought would (sensibly) got from stubby -> normal when extended.

But no, being chinesium they go from standard length to way OUTSIDE the bar ends   :frustrated: and pointless.

I'm thinking the brake lever would be fine but I am wondering if the clutch lever effort would be too high if using a shorter lever.

Is there any way of getting nice anodised levers that are not Chinesium? Are pazzo lever worth the cost?

Yeah I have a pair on mine.

My 14 came with bright gold Pazzo's that I hated plus they were badly rashed from being thrown up the road.

I used my Busa levers for a while but when the Busa needed them back I ordered some to try.

They are the absolute cheapest Chinese / WISH ones you'll ever find. I pulled them apart and thread locked the fittings and double checked the clutch and brake switches and that there was no drag. All good.

They've been on a few years now. Feel fine, work fine. Side by side with the Pazzo's you can tell a difference but in their own they are OK.

If I was still in Brisbane I'd pull them back off and you could try them for a week or two.

I have stubbys simular to the ones Tony uses. Clutch with two fingers is no problem, normal braking no problem either but with heavy braking still use all five.

Boring old me, just the stockers. Never been a problem, just something ive never changed or thought about changing. Those stubby ones do look good but.

Ridden a few bikes with stubbies & hated them, so no I don't have them.

One of my neighbours is an ex-professional racer, and now coaches riders. He's pretty open minded, sports bikes, dirt bikes, he has a Harley too, he's into custom painted race body work, helmet, leathers etc, but chatting with him he mentioned one of his hates is shorty levers, he can't stand them!

Each to their own. I don't mind them.

Had shortened ones in the past but just stick with the standard ones now on all my bikes.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

I find I've got no control, they seem very on & off. Doesn't really make a lot of sense as the angles are the same etc, but that's how they feel to me. Brake I can cope with, but I find clutch control rather difficult with them.

Had Pazzo levers on my Daytona 675, can't remember if they were shorter than stock or not, top quality.  I found I was using 2 finger braking on the stock levers anyway, but needed more adjustment out than standard allowed.

Found the standard levers on the 14 very nice, no issues so no reason to change. Even my bmw the std levers are great, and brakes on that are awesome.

Do like the look of short levers though, and would not trust chinesium ones under hard braking.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

That is a concern.

Anyone have link to half decent ones?

Just carry your originals under the seat Mike, if you do manage to break one, you have a perfect fitting spare.

I bought my 1200GS with the ends trimmed - no issues but would think if they had the knob on the end they would be a pain!
I need to go somewhere I've not been but won't know until I get there!
