What exhaust? Single or twin?

Single exhaust. I am asking this for somebody willing to install a 4-1 exhaust in an older bike without a main stand and I have an extra K6 main stand which I would like to sell.

I don't think they fit.

From memory people fitting early stands onto later bikes need a load of washers as spacers because the mounting brackets are further apart on the later bikes. So logic says a late stand is too wide for the brackets on an early bike.

I am one of those who has replaced the main stand of a K6 with one from a K2. So I have both. What I am asking is whether anybody has modified a K5+ stand to be narrow enough to fit an earlier model frame.

Not that I know of - anyone with the later model has always used a stand off an earlier model rather than modify
