Saw that on the news yesterday, just goes to show how we are treated in the UK, I bet if it was an immigrants car the council would have paid him/her/it/they/them whatever is fashionable these days for the fuckin minority woke community.

It is normal that a council posts its intent publicly (several ways of doing this are deemed acceptable) in order that work can be undertaken in residential areas without successful challenge or complaint. Providing they have done this, and taken every step to locate the offending vehicle oweners on the date of their posted works, there shouldn`t be an issue which can`t be amicably resolved.
If however, they have failed to take the aforementioned steps, lifting a vehicle without the owners permission could be deemed as attempted theft and potential criminal damage so I doubt very much that (even!) a council would put itself in that position.
Mind you, most service providers are private contractors nowadays .....`Nuff said!!

Nope governments are very careful to have rules in place which make them exempt from normal standards of behaviour and liability.

I didn't know that, but it's not surprising really is it!   Sheeple, yeah, good terminology, we're being fleeced all the time & we don't even recognise it any more.
