Car tyre blow out

My daughter drives around 400 miles a week for work. She drives a 2 year old Citroen Berlingo XL. she felt the car shake and thought the power steering had failed but the front nearside tyre collapsed, luckily she was in the inside lane doing around 60 mph - 70kph.Managed to pull onto the hard shoulder safely and got the breakdown truck ok. Tyres had only done 13k miles ( 21k km ) Michelin branded tyres. Garage said 100 % alignment issue. I check the tyres regularly and no wear issues showing. lucky girl

Those bloody speed humps/cushions cause that type of wear too. They compress the inner edge of the tyre and cause damage just like that. A very lucky girl to get a way without anything more serious!
Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups!
