I thought this might be inappropriate enough to warrant an announcement in here.
I entered an "actual" race meeting last weekend at Morgan Park, Warwick.
We are in the shit kicker class (club racer) with 27 entrants.
I was on the front row of the grid, 3rd.
After taking a detour at turn one in the first 2 races and starting from pit lane in race 3, I was 9th, 10th and 9th.
In the final race the pole sitter jumped the start (3 place penalty) and still managed to fall off with 2 laps to go, so it was up to me and one other to go for the win.
After 4 or 5 lead changes in the last lap and a half, I won by 0.2s.
WHAT A FUCKING BUZZ!
I've had a few wins in Race Your Mates before, but this was Southern Downs Road Race Championship.
For anyone contemplating having a crack, I highly recommend it, but if you're scared of wrecking your bike or falling off, stick with the Sunday morning coffee run.
Massively rewarding though.
Just for clarification, I was NOT on a 1400.
