Hello. I am Timo from Vantaa, Finland. I am a happy owner of a black K6 which I bought last autumn. I will tell more about my bike at a later time in the Members bikes section.

I used to own a few bikes when I was not old enough to drive a car. My last bike was a Honda CB750 which I sold in 1975 and since then I was only dreaming of having one again. Last year I started looking for an old CB750 but all of those available were either too expensive or in very bad condition.

When I looked for the best alternative I ended up buying the one I now own.

Welcome mate, it's best to start slowly when it's been that long between bikes, so you e picked the right shade for that... :stir:
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

I did start slowly and carefully but I was surprised how easy the GSX1400 is to ride. I immediately felt like not having had any break in riding. Maybe the main reason is that it weighs about the same as a CB750, only the brakes and tyres are much better and it has more power.

GSX1400 is in my opinion thr best bike there exists!

Take it easy Tim, spend lots of hours. A bloody long break between bikes. Id love to have my old K2 sitting in shed, bikes we grew up on. Flogged them, no maintenance, they just kept going.

Welcome to the forum Timo.  :onya: There's not much out there that has the style of the 1400.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick
