Few weeks back rode a late model Harley Sportster 1100, very different, didnt like at all. Today was a Royal Enfield 650. Sort of like being on a Triumph from 60s. Sounded nice, not really much to fault. Stopped ok, went around corners, good riding position. No power at all, wouldve been good with double output. Nice thing to ride, i liked it.

I enjoyed my ride out on the Enfield, it's hard not to like a bike that's so good and so cheap.  Not difficult to see why they are top of the sales charts.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Yeah @grog I reckon you've summed that up well.

Down on power can be forgiven when its inexpensive.

I get a bit more frustrated with the fact the Guzzi V7 (priced in same ballpark as Trumpy Thruxton) only has about half the power.

I'm the same Horse, with cars anyway.  They always want you to take them for a drive & I know if I did & I liked it, I'd be looking at ways to buy it. Bad. Got 'enough' toys as it is.

I drive so many cars, just a work thing. Amazes me how some i think will be really good, arent. Opposite also, some i dont rate are great. I just like to try diff bikes. Same applies with them. Biggest let down, a couple that others on here really like. That Enfield was a surprise, wasnt expecting much, just needs some grunt. If it had 1200 Bonnie motor grunt, would be good. Always good to get back on 14, sure doesnt feel like a 15 yr old bike.
