Can fork brace improve the handling ?

Will adding a fork brace improve the handling the bike ?
Considering to install one if it works, any suggestions ?

not sure if it improved the handling but on my 14 both forks move together rather than independently of each other it felt more precise the without it .

Hi, I asked the same thing on the original ORG, was told it's all personal choice. It does not improve handling in any way, just adds another bit of bling.
It's just up to you if you want one of these or not.   (I didn't get one in the end.)

Exactly as Col says - I had one fitted to my 14. Bling appeal only, no advantage to handling in any way shape or form.

But it is a nice bit of bling!!!

Pure theory, cause I do not have brackets, and never had 

one of the reasons, USD forks considered as better handled forks - they upper part, which is a part of "triple tree" is much thicker in diameter when on regular forks upper tubes. This make them more stiffer to twisting during turns.
Brackets on regular fork are doing the same - they make fork stiffer to twisting.

But on 14, with it's 46mm upper fork tubes, forks itself is quite stiff, so even you make it stiffer it's easy not to notice it during everyday riding

As has been said.. on a GSX1400 - probably not.

On a CX500 - heck yes !

Fitted mine today, took ages, oem dust covers and stanchion guards in place, one is a snug fit the other loose, absolutely no idea why, the aftermarket stanchion guard/dust covers werent needed.

AT least it allows fitment without having to drop the forks from the triples like some I've seen....

Its a Fastec brace, its nicely made, not had chance to get out and about yet.

Certainly changes the feel of the bike, not 100% convinced its better, it does feel very rigid though, so I much I took it off then went out again, will know more after tomorrow, a big ride out around Derbyshire

Did 240 miles yesterday, initially I was tempted to pull over and unbolt the centre piece, as, its feels different. The only other change is the forks have fresh oil in them after a blew a seal last summer, so nothing radical, byt the end of the day though I had gotten used to it. I run with my forks pushed through the top yoke 7mm, and I run a 190/55 rear, so the bike is very front end orientated. But, the brace is staying, the front brakes, however, are due a change.
