Such a good result last night. 38 yrs since a Suzuki 1-2.

Definitely!  I reckon the suzukis came on form late last year, their corner speed is amazing, now they've fiund more power and they know how to look after their tyres during a race.  They are also that much better in the wet, i rememver Chris Vermeulen winning in France in the wet, absolute masterclass in wet race pace.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Hopefully their racing success will spur them on to give us some new road bikes, not just old ones rehashed.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Rerelease of GSX1400 would be my suggestion  :stir: :stir: :stir: :stir:

Yeah, but with what 'wish list' upgrades would you like on a new version?

Suzuki need a new muscle bike - lets design one and send to Mr Suzuki  :)
The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

I don't think you could improve on the bike we already have. A new one would have to comply with all the current emission regs , noise levels, so on and so forth, the only thing I can think of is a hybrid, say an electric motor with say an extra 50bhp  :whistling: :whistling:

Hands up all those who own a totally standard `14......i`ll bet there are very few out there. That in itself suggests that the standard `14 can be improved to owners tastes & riding styles, regardless of whether its just a new seat or metal brake hoses or aftermarket bars!

The same can be said for any bike.

That said, as a standard package, the bike is superb, though a few more horses on tap would be my biggest ask.

Oh, and be careful what you wish for - they made a real mess aesthetically of the `new` Z1. I`d hate to think that a revised `14 would look as bad :whistling:

And there you go Dave. I started out having fallen in love with 14's after seeing a blue and white one years ago which I recall was standard. Finally, got mine in February this year after searching long and hard for a standard K2 in blue and white (obviously) what other colour comes close🙄 I was determined she would stay in her standard guise as I was convinced she was beyond improvement. This lasted about 4 weeks. Since then I have fitted a hugger, a seat, crash bars, heated grips, oil temperature gauge, various shiny new bolts, chrome sprocket cover, flood indicators, fly screen, crash bungs, bar weights and various decals. I have until now doggedly stuck by my cherished standard exhausts and said many times on here they make the bike. Now I'm sorely tempted to get a pair of Pipeworx slip on's😳 At the end of the day we all love the standard 14 but we are individuals and it's amazing to see how bikes on here evolve. What I have done is nothing compared to vast majority. Some have chased more power, some completely modify the suspension, brakes, paint schemes, you name it and I bet it's been done. No manufacturer can make the perfect bike to fit all it's impossible. BUT is there a BETTER canvas to begin individually improving than a SUZUKI GSX1400 🤔🤔🤔🤔 ABSOLUTELY NOT🤗

That would be my hand up. Totally standard except engine bars and radiator shroud.
May the sun be warm & shining and your roads be smooth & winding.

Irish in Oz

Mine is totally standard except for luggage witch goes on and off, only other changes are heated grips, tyres and brake pads. As for power I can't ride mine flat out and I don't remember many coming past me on the twisties anyway.

DP1400

All non-standard so far then....  ;)!

Do you want the original feckin air in the tyres too.
