SFC1000

Hi all.
I picked up my Black 2004 GSX1400 with 25,000km on the clock today and it can join my Ducati 350 Desmo in the shed as it was getting lonely.
Short story is I sold both my Laverda's a few of years ago, hence the username. Loved those bikes, but I wasn't riding them anymore and they were deteriorating in the shed.
I decided to look for another bike recently to replace them and was keen on a mid 90's Guzzi Californian, but couldn't find any so then for something different looked at GSX1100F's and once again couldn't find any decent ones.
I came across an ad for a GSX1400 and did some research and watched a couple of YouTube clips and liked what I saw. As the bike was local I went to inspect and see how it fitted as I'm not overly long in the leg and was pleasantly surprised at the height.
I see in some reviews the mention of the weight, but after the Laverda's this isn't a problem and I actually didn't find it a big deal.
The owner before putting it up for sale took the bike to the local Suzuki dealer and had a service done which included, new plugs, oil and filter change, new battery, brake and clutch fluids changed plus the roadworthy.
The books that came with the bike show all services done and receipts from new to now. He was an older owner and was very attached to his baby.
Anyway I'm real happy now I fell over that ad.

Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

SFC1000

Thanks for the welcome guys.
GSXKing I know you're having a lend, but I'll be happy if the GSX is half as reliable as the Lav's.
I had one for 24yrs and the other for 20yrs and they never ever let me down.
Neither were shed queens and were both used lots, even flogged and put away wet.
It was only in the last few years of ownership due to a change of circumstance that they weren't ridden and sold.

I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.
