The only way to do it, putting a 1400 into a 1980's bike is stupid.

Appears I quite enjoy doing stupid things.

This is my 1985 EF with a gsx1400 engine... currently 1700cc . It is a long term project and i am trying to fix multiple oil leaks so it is not running like i hope it would  ;)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTHkGFy25wM# now this is a weapon.

Never ridden an MV Agusta but the ones I have seen in the flesh and able to check out the details were of very high build quality. Very impressive just for that.

Edit: Just remembered this experience. While looking closely with big eyes at an MV Agusta two bikers came up. One said "That's a beautiful bike." The other biker thought he meant the MV but the first biker pointed to my 14 and said: "No that one".

Totally different bike mate, believe me I know owned both. Did you have to cut the frame like i've seen in the Katana jobs.

Look what I loaded on to my trailer not long before I left Oz.

My frame was a jigsaw puzzle to be able to fit that engine.  It is better documented on OSS  ;)

I just couldn't be bothered, to me just put the cosmetics on a 1400.
Rather keep the classic bike original.
I now have from that era an EF, GPZ, FJ and VFR. Even have two of each except for EF for spare parts.
A good mate of mine has big bored his early model Z1000 to 1400 and is have problems with oil leaks on top end.
