Possibly worth checking that the exhaust header bolts are all tight, on occasion the odd one can come loose if previously removed and the gasses escaping can give a ticking noise. Don't over tighten though

Possibly the intake/exhaust valves need the gaps set.
Yeah you get a bit of ticking from cold ,first sign they may need adjusting ?  Once warm tho should quiet down.
Ooops  just saw she only has 4700kms on her ??/

I've be really amazed if it was the valves needing adjusting, considering mine are still within spec at 152k miles (well, last checked about 140k).

It's a common thing with this type of exhaust fitting that you get a leak that sounds just like a loose tappet. Look at the flanges to see if they're square to the head and while it's running adjust the bolts either way (loosen or tighten). Do one pipe at a time.
If you look like your passport photo then you're too sick to travel.

Have a good listen to the injectors, mine tick sometimes but does no harm.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

My brain ticks sometimes, also does no harm. A 14 motor with low ks ticking, just ride it.

Thanks for all the replies/suggestions!
Ongoing.

Just noticed where you are, I'm in Doncaster if you want a worn out high mileage one to compare noises with.
