When l was at school (those were the days) l popped a wheelie leaving the shops. Nice gentle up hill to a give way sign. I put it down just in time to see PC Plod across the road starting his Triumph Tiger. I think maybe, just maybe he"s spotted me. So l leave the give way do the stop hand signal and pull over. He pulls in behind me and l'm thinking "this is going to be expensive". "Good afternoon sir, what just happened there" he says. Me " jusf a bit of a demo for my mates at the shops officer" "how about you take it home and keep both wheels on the ground"....."l can do that sir" says l. Coppers were different back then. More about safety and less about revenue. They knew us and we respected them.
Wonder if the outcome would have been different had l said the clutch slipped.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

TL is a good wheelie machine, my mate just purchased an SV1000 today it should lift the wheel.

TL / SV is a good wheelie / stunt bike, but you must be careful with lubrication during high wheelies.
I know a couple of TL engines, destroyed during too long and too high balance wheelie due to poor lubrication.
But that lubrication problem is common with most engines on high angles.

Bandit 1200s are good wheelie / stunt machines!

They are just twist the throttle in any gear.

Kiwifruit

One of the reasons l bought a 14 and not a Bandit. Was told they are a bit short for 2 up loa9ded touring.......and wheelie easy.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

I hear you KF. Same for me something docile put on luggage and take the missus but I wanted it to go like a 1200 Bandit and not have to put in cams and power pipes so I just got one of these as well  :)

Roo

I wouldn't say bandits are out of control wheelie machines standard, But sure once you take a bit of weight off them and pop in gsxr cams, compression, jet kits etc etc they are pretty strong..  My Gen 1 was putting out around 135 rwh  when finshed.

My Bandit wheelies better with the top box on.

T 24

Oh, it must be that. I have a big top box in my 14 :whistling:

Irish in Oz

My top box is small, it must be the sack of wet sand I put in it.

Kiwifruit

Irish we would get bollocked here for having red reflectors to the frònt of the pannier boxes.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎
