Hey up folks.

Every year for the past 25 or so, we have taken our motorcaravan to the Weston Park motorfest.  Its always been the first weekend of the season.  Obviously this year that wasn't going to happen, so on Easter Sunday we decided to have our own little Bike show!  We set up our caravan on our front garden, put out our chairs and table and parked my three bikes on display.  Made a cuppa, and sat in the sun and watched the world go by for a hour or so.

The few fellow villagers who were taking their regulation one hours exercise stopped to have a chat (at a safe distance of course).  I reckon I have spoken to more people over the past few weeks than I have done over the past 30 years.  People seem to have time!  It is pleasantly surprising how so many people have a genuine interest in bikes.

Stay safe everyone.  Chip and Coral
I have a 2003 GSX1400 owned since new (Blue and White of course).  I have a 1977 Suzuki GT380 café racer and A Japanese import Yamaha XG250 Tricker.  I'm interested in anything mechanical.  Was an aircraft technician / inspector, but I took early retirement - because I could!

What seat is that on the GT.
I got it off ebay from a company called Café racer based in Greece.  They come in black plastic, but you can choose the stitch colour and pattern for the cover.

Thanks. The Yam is a 1979 DT125E which by all accounts was only sold in the UK for a year or so.  It has an electric start.  The colour isn't a standard one for this bike.  This was originally Black, but as I got the bike as a pile of bits it was completely rebuilt about 4 years ago, I decided to make it a bit brighter and thought a take on the Yamaha speed-block scheme would work..  It runs quite nicely, and handles and brakes surprisingly well.  In fact it made me realise just how much fun a little bike can be.  We are all very lucky to have out 1400 to blast around on, but a little lightweight two stroke is so much fun in a different way.

Wow, Irish that bike had quite a few mods.  I had a GT380M new in 1975, in the same colour (Candy Apple Red) as my present heavily modified bike.  This one has a GSX600F front end, wheels and brakes. The swing arm is an XJ600 yam item suitably modified. Higgspeed exhausts that will wake the dead, upgraded electrical and ignition systems and an electronic dash.  The reason for the mods was the box of bits that I bought, had these parts missing!  It was easier and cheaper to obtain updated parts than obtain and rebuild original parts.  I bought the bits from the autojumble at Copdock Ipswich Bike show.  The following year it was placed runner up in the café racer section.  It wides really well.  The brakes are considerably better than the originals!!  The seat however is not suitable for long distance touring (or even for a 20 mile blast to be honest).  But its one of the best ways I know of turning petrol into smoke!
Keep safe.  Chip
