Hi all.

I got this grind feeling on the front grake lever, a short you tube clip may help!

Brake action isn't very smooth. I have to be very carefull, because it tends to brake more then needed. Is it air?

Since I am changing seals and boots on the calipers, new hoses, maybe rebuild the master cylinders would make sense?

Oh and rear brake pedal works in stages too. And I reckon to much force is need for any brake action. Again, it can go from no brake action to disk lock.

I don't like it a bit, they should work much smoother, and it is dangerous for because, as a biker, I was born last month, I am only a baby, and I can get spooky in a snapp. Progressive braking is what one should do. And it's kind a dificult in my case.

Cheers

While you are at it rebuilding the master cylinder is in order. And rebuild the whole rear inclusive master cylinder. $ well spend.

Probably not the cause but make sure your rear brake pivot is well lubed.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Try to spray some silicone oil past the first rubber.
My clutch lever did the same, and silicone oil did help.
Almost every spray oil will help, but silicone oil won't dry so quickly.

Makes a huge difference when you keep the brake pivot lubed.
Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups!

There should not be any noise at all from the lever, master cylinder or brakes in general.  If youre mechanically confident, you should strip it all down and clean it all out, flush out the lines with new fluid etc.

Master cylinder kits for front and rear are not expensive.

If not, take it to a reputable bike shop for a full brake service.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.
