Management has granted me a leave pass to go on a boys trip. Booked my ferry crossing and now looking forward to going to the South lsland for the "Warbirds over Wanaka Airshow" with a bunch of other like minded riders.
Got my son and a couple of grandys living an hour south of Queenstown in Lumsden. So be great to see them.  :smitten:
Aim to catch up with KiwiCol at some point.

We used to go to RAF Waddington for their airshow every year and loved it. Not on anymore  Fortunately I don't live too far from RAF Coningsby, about 60miles, so often have a run out there on the 14 to see if I can catch a glimpse of the BBMF planes. Hope you have a good time buddy  :computer_type:

When l was a kid l went to an airshow at North Weald. l remember the display a couple of Lightnings put on. No health and safety then. They were so low and so loud. lmpressive !!
Used to live just up the road from RAF Debden, we would go and play in the shelters there.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

This subject brings back so many great memories! As a youngster we used to live within 15miles of RAF Wittering. consequently we had Vulcan and Victor bombers flying fairly low over our house every day, all day. What a site they were, the likes of which will never be seen again.

Then there were the Alconbury (USAF) and Brize Norton (RAF) airshows each year. Awesome days.

A real shame they are all are history now, together with those `big birds` of the skies. Bugger!!
