I don't know if this has been brought up before? My mate has a 07 plate 14 mine is on a 65 plate. When we checked on the web site to see if we was effected by the London Ultra Low emission zone we found that his his exempt from the charge but mine isn't. Presumably as his was registered after the Euro3 date came in. However on our log books our bikes give out the recorded same emissions.

I have heard that there is a appeal process where you can get your bike registered as ULEZ exempt? Has anyone done this? If so can they come up with any advice on the process?
I have heard that if any vehicle of the same type I.E. GSX1400  has already gone through the process that you can apply to have yours mad exempt as well.

This may help all of us if we ever wish to take our lives into our hand and enter the bog smoke to risk the traffic and bike muggers.

@Granty are you sure it's a 65 plate not a 55 as if a 65 it's only 4 years old ?

The London ULEZ is quite a small area geographically (at the moment!), so its unfortunate if you really have to take a `14 into it (and who in the right mind would anyway).

Forget having your bike tested, there are very few places who undertake such work on bikes and those that do will be happy to take upwards of £200 from you before giving you the inevitable bad news!

Best thing to do is not go into London, or if you really have to, take the train. A sad state of affairs, but thats reality nowadays. Big Brother is getting richer......
