Let me set the scene.

Friday afternoon 2:30 PM start prepping GSX for a Sat jaunt. Everything seems fine. I'm checking front tyre pressures and after taking gauge away I hear a miniscule hiss.  :facepalm:I wet my finger and rub on tyre valve. Bingo, it's leaking, but so slowly the tyre had only lost 3 pounds since last ride maybe two weeks ago. I had those new Pilot's fitted and while there had new 45 deg valves installed.

Now to my point. I'm lucky I had a tyre valve tool in my toolbox collection. It took a poofteenth of a turn to silence the leak.

So, my question is, :whatever: how many others have the tool at their convenience ?

Andre

This week I had a need for one. Used circlip pliers instead.

I had a couple of these caps on an earlier bike.

@Andre that is the exact tool I have and it's in a jar with about ten assorted valve caps.  :onya: :onya: :onya:

I change my own tyres so have at least 4 or 5 tyre valve tools but used to have the type in the valve cap on all my bikes before that.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Don't they screw on as a cap to save you putting them in your tool kit etc.
I'm just being silly, they don't look cool enough to leave on.
I am very silly I have done that.
