The initial attraction to motorcycling inflicts people for various reasons and at different stages in their lives. But once someone experiences the elation of riding a motorcycle there's no denying the nearly spiritual effect it has.

The first few roundabouts were challenging, looking to the left at intersections and exiting servos took some thinking about. But, the actual riding on the right was easy.

In fact, I acclimatised faster than I thought I would.

Came to an intersection where they were doing line marking work, I had to turn right from the left lane ...... about 2 Ks later, a van coming towards me was flashing it's lights.... oops, I was riding on the left side. Other than that, pretty easy.

Hired a 800 triumph in Croatia last week.
My moto" Stay right or die" as well as "Right tighty - Lefty loosey".
Was generally ok but I found the long left handlers uneasy as you get a long view of cars approaching and zooming past on the left.
Passing is fine as you have the power to do it quickly.
Have to be alert on larger roundabouts as drivers like to shortcut to exit lanes.
My first time and was easier than I expected.
Coming back to ride Slovenia and Austria.

Based near Anso, Nth Spain.

Lots of day trips riding around there. Rode to Santander, South France to Lolme. Through the desert to Andorra, across to the Med and up the coast to France. From France to Bregazane Italy, through Switzerland, Austria, across Germany to Belgium and jumped on a boat in Holland, back to England. Put bike back in a container there and flew home via Thailand.

Equipment? Garmin sat nav was great, in Spain I would flip a coin at intersections and end up somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Then turn on sat nav and she'd guide me home. One day I rode 7 hours, with no idea where I was. Felt it was beer time, so on with sat nav........ less than an hour later I was back 'home' in the bar downing beers.
