One for the Aussies on the forum.

Just wondering who you might have your CTP greenslip with?

I've been pricing some up as my rego is due in a couple months.  I was surprised just how much more expensive it is over my VFR800.  Its nearly twice the price.

Cheapest I've got so far is with NRMA (Big Surprise there), but that is only because I have multiple other policies with them.

$477.46 with GIO.

EDIT;  That was for last year & it went down this year to $449.93 still with GIO.
If you look like your passport photo then you're too sick to travel.

you must have some big discounts there..  GIO want me t pay $635..

NRMA want $560..     and that is with multi-policy discount..

BlueDragon

Nope - interesting

I re-did my online quote without the registration details and said that the bike was garaged in Sydney CBD.

Quote came back from NRMA at $434.10, compared to the $567 they want because I live in the country.

Phoned up the NRMA and complained about this.  Their excuse was that it is taken into account that there are kangaroos out here in the country and that Tamworth motorcycle riders may have had more claims against CTP insurance  - hence the higher policy and I ride on country roads  !!???

Sounds like a load of rubbish to me.

Well there's your answer up above.

My renewal with with QBE is $426.14 for the Sydney metro area.

You can blame Jeff and his Tamworth mates.
