No. 1 son helped me with the frame yesterday & said 25kg just before I weighed it today.

Bloody good guess because it's 25.90kg ... that's 9kg under what I thought.

So, we guessed about the same Pete.

Andre did too Col ... 1235 oz is 35kg

I just copied your guess and converted to ounces in response to Notty using pounds

The winner is @Notty  with 71 pounds which converts to 32.2 kg :salute:

Impressive work, this is exactly what I want to do with my bike.  I can't get over how quickly you are getting it done.
Can't wait top see the before and after pics

Irish in Oz

While you are spraying, didn't I give you some diesel to do those weeds.

When I looked at the photo I noticed the weeds & just knew someone would make a comment about them. I'd have been disappointed if it wasn't you Jeff.  :onya:

The diesel you gave me? Oh I remember now. That was from the day you thought your bike would run better on diesel.  :stir:

I've been busy cleaning, painting, polishing & riding all day today to check out another potential project with Johno.

This is the result of the cleaning, painting & polishing.

Looking good so far @Snapey  :onya:

Interesting to note that the seat section of your frame has rusted as badly as mine had..I don't think Mr Suzuki puts much paint on that area to start with

I know you're probably already aware of it, but when you reassemble..
Engine in frame first, followed by wiring loom and then air box. If you try refitting the loom after the airbox and throttle bodies, you won't get it in...Been there and got the t-shirt :onya:

Refitting the engine is also made easier if you lie it on it's side on suitable padding and then fit the frame over it.

That's just red dust on the frame mate . The back section might not have been in the shade.

Are you sure about the air box Froudy. I was told it won't come out with the engine in place but I tried anyway. I couldn't get it out so I can't see it going in after the engine.

Definitely engine on it's side for install.

There is one thing about stripping these things that I wish Mr Suzuki would address ... connectors. Some you push the lever & some you pull. Is it too much to ask to have them all the one way?

I apologise profusely...Indeed it is loom in first, followed by air box and then engine!!
I agree with you 100% regarding the various types of connectors being used..Can be a real pain.
When you come to reassembly, if you get stuck, give me a shout as I took loads of photo's when I did mine :onya:

PS. I built the frame to this stage before lying it on it's side to refit the engine...
Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups!
