So sorry to hear of the loss of the bike Hooli. I'd be pissed if they stole mine. Today it got an oil change and filter and about 4 hours of polishing.

Sorry to hear that Hooli. That just makes me sick
Becoming the sport of young punks these days.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Hooli

Feral scum, their breeders went joyriding & now cars to too difficult to steal they re-enact it with bikes.

I'd be quite happy to organise a cull, the worthless scum who don't deserve to live are pretty easy to spot after all.

Arseholes, not pissing  off when confronted is the scariest bit and more than likely means  that they are under 18 and know that only a slap on the wrist and counseling awaits them if caught.Bloody aweful feeling but hopefully insured so you can start a new long term relationship with another one, like breakups, the best way to get over one is to get your leg over another

Hooli

I'll get sod all from the insurance, market value for a bike with 168k, 75p?

Not sure if I want another 14 yet. They are great bikes but it won't be 'my 14,'

Better clock up on Harley now Mate. Maybe a few anti theft items for it.

@Hooli my deepest sympathies, it's heart breaking having anything stolen, let alone a long cherished possession such as your GSX, however being threatened by a group of scumbags with a screwdriver whilst they're doing it, would probably terrify most. I'm assuming they didn't take the HD because it's not as easy to start without a key ?

We are having a spate of break and enters and all they want is car keys/cash handbags etc and then drive off in your vehicles. They are all mostly juvenile offenders who think nothing of driving a stolen vehicle like they are playing Grand Theft Auto in the real world and f..k the consequences, they normally get a slap on the wrist IF they are caught. I think there are adults grooming these wannabe future gangsters, knowing the younger ages don't attract jail time.

@Hooli even if you don´t recover your beloved 14, which I hope you will, just don´t leave the forum with such immense knowledge that´s needed here.

Yeah, it's got the optional alarm siren already and I've got a spare chain now...

QuoteI said goodbye to my bike today.

It was stolen by half a dozen worthless scum teenangers on other stolen bikes who when confronted offered to stab us with a screwdriver so we had to let them go. I saw them out the office window but couldn't stop them.

Utterly fucked off about it all, my 14 was staying forever and now thanks to scum that should be culled it's gone.

Gutted for you Hooli. I know some folk don't get emotionally attached to machines, but regardless of how daft it might be, I do. I've had my 14 for 14 years now and will keep it forever, however long that might be. Although COVID has drastically reduced the amount of kms I've put on it over the last 2 1/2 years (still working from home!), it still gets a regular airing and every time I do ride it it puts a smile on my face. I reckon you'll find another one to love before too long mate!
I plan on living forever - so far, so good!

I finally got the GSX out of the garage & had a run to Canungra with a run up to Tamborine on the goat track. Beautiful spring weather really 👍👍👍

That was one of my favourite rides when I lived on the Gold Coast. Stuff all hills around Hervey Bay.  ☹️

So sorry to hear that mate that sucks. I truly hope it is recovered in at least half decent nick.  And either way we want to see you back on a 1400!  :onya:

scum that should be culled

They used to to hang horse thieves. Same should apply here.

I couldn't agree more @VladTepes

I'm still getting reports via FB of it being seen ridden about, so it can't be too bad yet. If I can arrange a few mates to go looking in the next few nights I might, I'm away after Sat though.
