The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

I've seen sprocket studs work out on a VFR, they were halfway through the (single sided) swingarm when spotted at a petrol stop! First day of a week euro tour too.

Don't get carried away now Col, Loctite & Spark Plugs, Loctite & Spark Plugs, Loctite & Spark Plugs.  Wouldn't want that combination.

Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Those plugs would have done a fair ole mileage by now then.  What'd ya get? Std or Iridium?

Done 57,000kms on originals. Still runs sweet. More interested in taking them out now rather than later and having a drama. Been in at least eight years. Replacing with standard, as per handbook. Seen no real advantage for the cost of lridium. If l get another 50,000kms l will be well happy.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

New chain and sprockets fitted..
Brake calipers all removed and cleaned at the same time.
Has anyone found a simple fix for bush wear in the gear change lever? .Mine has quite a lot of play up and down on the shaft :furious:

@Andre posted a link a while back for new bushes.

The bushings I used were a nice find by German-forum member. Simple install. Previously people used bushings made from sintered bronze, had to work them with a reamer to fit. I dont have the dimensions of the sintered ones. But you could orient yourself on these in the link.
Unfortunately they send these only to Germany, for your reference: https://www.ebay.de/itm/2-Gleitlager-1209-12-x-14-20-x-9-mm-wartungsfrei-mit-Bund-/162814339976?

I ordered them shortly after that  :onya:

Changed them recently and they work like a charm .

Glad to see they worked for you and send to other countries. OZ and NZ not on the list, unfortunately.

Upgrade my front fender.
Before was some smaller aftermarket. Now I have OEM + extender...

Still not sure about look  :confused1:, but I hope it will protect my engine and oil cooler from dirt, cause what I had was total disaster on a bad road during a rain.
Las year, my engine and oil cooler were so dirty, I could manage to clean them only when I take engine of the bike (ok - that was another reason, but still)

Also, it seems to me, bigger fender "sounds" different... May be it's just seems to me...  :whatever:

Fresh oil and filter (after new cam's breaking in period, decide to do it), wash and wax.

And 1.5 hour evening ride  :onya:
