I'd suspect a clean & reftting that slave would have things working again. It's normally just crud built up into a crust in the slave bore making things leak or stick.

Maybe after 7.5 years the slave cylinder boreceiuls be rusty, especially with hygrophobic brake fluid sitting in there.

Im sure Irish will tell us all the sordid details...
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Leaking so lost clutch knew it was on its way out, I've had same issues with cars sitting for periods of time, been down the  kit road before I'm putting a new unit in as I did with my K5.

Did the right thing buying a complete unit.

Did you consider the Oberon slave? Nice gear, but probably more expensive than oem - Mick Hone pricing below.

I nearly bought one for mine, but decided against it after seeing the lever pivot and bush was worn, so replacing that first before mucking about with the slave cylinder.

Hi Eric, ordered it from Mick Hone lunch time yesterday waiting on it being delivered any moment tracking it now.
Thumbs up for Mick Hone and Australia Post. Melbourne to north of Sydney 24 hours.

A while back......

I ordered a pair of Renthal 789 bars from a shop, they said they'd have to get them sent up from Melbourne.

I went home, thought what the hell, I could always use a spare pair so I ordered another pair online from the UK.

The pair from the UK were cheaper, and turned up at my front door, before I got a text telling me to drive to the shop to collect the more expensive (identical) pair.

I've got 789s waiting to go on mine now. I don't like the sweepback on the 754s, it was too close to the originals for me.

Small dull, picture free update....

New indicators fitted on my mate's black 14, plus her squeaky rear brake sorted. That was yesterday's task.

Today I fitted different bars on my Bloo Thing, I'd decided the new 789 bars my mate had got felt a lot nicer as the ones I got off her had too much sweep back for me. So I've got a set & fitted them today. It feels lot nicer to sit on now, before it felt a bit small & only the heels of my hands were on the bars as far as control goes. With the straighter bars the grips fall in the right place for me, she's got hers a lot further back to the point they slope down a bit but she's a lot smaller than me & likes them there.

Plus I took the new gloves I got last week back & swapped them as the first time I wore them I spotted some torn stitching.

Told you it was a dull update.

Fitted some more Pussy Grips, now all 4 bikes have them ... yes I like them.
