Quote from: Mr Gee on Sunday, 14 December  2025, 06:00 AMGot to say that I like the Pirelli Angel 2. Good enough grip for me, wet or dry and good life expectancy, too.

I wish you were closer. I have a near new pair thrown in the back of the shed gathering dust, removed to fit S22's.
I can see why they were dropped from some markets and the original Angels remain on sale, that double grove front is awful.

Wish I was closer too. However, not for the tyres.

Wet, miserable, cold and damp over here.   :bugga:

I've got S22s on the new 14, they look like sports sticky tyres that last 5mins?

I got 6,000K's out of a set, (I'd expect more on a 14) but they offer more grip than I can use, good feed back, and they are very predictable. I'm keen to try the 23's, I'd rather over spend on tyres and have something that I can't find the limit of.  Busa's and B-Kings always chew tyres up but the 22's are dual compound front and triple compound rear so the harder centre is better than some serious sports tyres and they still have good edge grip.   There's good reason they were previously votes Winner and joint winner of Sportsbike tyre of the year.  You don't need to be a Marquez wanna-be or track day hero to feel the benefit's of good tyres. I'll be interesting to hear how yours wear / last.

Put a decimal point in the 30 degrees, so it's 3.0 degrees. Change dry, to damp and hey presto
We have the same forecast here.  :rofl2:  :happy1:

Still not jealous, he lied.   :happy1:  :rofl2:

Cheers, they'll be on the road in April so I'll find out then. I've never been a Bridgestone fan since the 020s & 021s, but I'll use them till they're worn out.

Ride for a coffee with my club mates, enjoying the 1402 running very well again, then a wash and then I finally got around to fitting the 'busa clutch slave cylinder pushrod rod seal. Cleaned out the slave area, it was already pretty clean as I only use the Castrol V-max gear oil on my chain.  Now I have a perfectly clean clutch push rod and properly protecting that engine casing seal.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

If I remember, when I order the gaskets I forgot to get from webike I'll get one of those seals too.

Reading in another group about how many miles folk did in 2025, how often they rode etc, some quite high, others low.
I really don't have a clue. I've been out a bit but haven't done the huge interstate rides I used to.

Pottering about in the shed I spotted a sheet of plasterboard about 7 or 800mm square. I used it to test paint colours on when we were building the house.  Grab an old tin of interior paint and gave it a coat.

Grab a marker pen and write the name of the bikes with rego I use.

On Jan 1st I'll write the bikes mileage down, and put a mark by each one when I ride it.

It'll only take a few seconds to do, and it might encourage me to use them equally so they don't sit with flat battery's and old fuel.

It'll be interesting to see how many times a year I ride and how far. I suspect it won't be huge numbers. The B- King sat for a few months this year, the DRZ will only ever get short rides.

Reading up on some folks international trips I don't think mine will be anything special.

Now I just need to remember to record the mileages on Jan-1.

(I know the UK folk and some others can do MOT to MOT mileage but we don't do annual safety certs here in Qld)

Feel free to join in!  LOL.

I'll join in Tony, I've a whiteboard in thr shed where I note what each vehicle needs and services etc. Currently 5 cars and 2 bikes in the stable.

As an estimat3, I reckon i did around 5000km in the past 12months on the BMW K1300GT and only about 1000 on the GSX1400.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

I've done about 2.5k miles on Snotbox since getting it at the beginning of Sept, I've not even been trying to use it. It's just doing daily transport stuff.

Does explain why my car did 1,800mile or so last year...

MickyJB

I usually ride Tuesday Thursday and a Saturday or Sunday sometimes both, With 3 bikes I mix it up.
