I think if you give that a gentle tap it'll pop off. The original chain guard has a rubber grommet with a metal spacer sleeve there, looks like the spacer stayed behind. IMG_3986.png

Ah thank you very much, I'll give that a try tomorrow

I'd second that spacer(#4) idea. The rivnut should be nearly flush with top edge of the swingarm.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Today another phone holder. I have bar ends so original mirror mounts vacant. This one uses that location. I like it as up fairly close to face and my usb port.Under $30.

Hooli

Just to set the scene & explain while I'll go quiet for a couple of weeks. I loaded the tractor up last night.

After work today I'm riding to Hull to get an overnight ferry to Rotterdam, then turning left a couple of times to ride up Denmark & get another ferry to Norway. I won't get home till the 20th July.

So far the plans are...

U-boat memorial at Kiel, Germany
Jutland Memorial, Denmark
Lots of stave churches, fjords, Viking valley & other gorgeous bits of scenery in Norway. Not forgetting the Atlantic Road & Troll's Ladder

I'm sure I'll bore you all with the photos once I'm back.

For Lurch and Eric, you guys are absolute stars, took a look this morning with pliers in hand, even close up it looked like one piece, bugger me the insert popped out with a good twist.

Thank you everyone  :smitten:

I'll have you know I've mowed that drive TWICE this year, the same as the lawn.

Have the greatest time Hooli. Look forward to the photos and blurb on your return. Stay safe :onya:
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Enjoy Hooli. Is a great feeling heading off with a loaded bike👍

As your journey properly begins in Hull, the remainder of your itinerary will obviously be an anti climax. However, push on through and try to make the best of it  :stir:  :whistling:

Safe travels.

Installed a new oem exhaust. Yes, you read that right: new oem. Someone gave me a small bump, didn´t fall and slightly bent the frame footrest support and dented the exhaust. On comes other guy´s insurance and on comes a new exhasut. Waited 3 months for it to arrive from Japan, so guess Suzuki had to manufacture a new one. I like the oem look of it. Heavy as hell, 7,8kg, but the 14 can handle it! Even searched for a Yoshimura tri-oval end can but they stopped production last year.
