That's true. Some of us have stalled the bike & dropped it in the middle of the road, in front of about 200 bikers at a pub bike night...

Not saying who  :whistling:

Forgot that I had a big bag tied on the rear of the seat. Pulled into one of the few free spots of neatly parked bikes. Swung myself off, right leg hit the bag and the bike motioned quickly towards the ground. Stopped the drop while having pic of bikes to my left falling like dominos. No damage to the bike as it didn't hit the ground or other bike. My left thigh had a huge bruise from torn muscle fibers. Ego bruised a bit too but not as much as if domino reaction would have happened and someone would have posted it on YT  :rofl2: Happened 20 years ago with my 1st 14. Not dropped one since. Knock on wood.

I got this from trying to stop my CX500 going over, I heard it pop.
Bike and I both ended up in my daughters Flower bed, she wasn't happy.

Had lots, just happens in 50 years. One bike ended up next door, totally upside down in flower garden, no damage really. My mates bike fell on mine another time. Somehow its lh bar went right thru my spoked front wheel. Totally entangled, that was a nightmare job. As far as 14, big scar from bag on back, different leg over, it landed on on hot exhaust, frizzled like bacon, still have imprint a decade later.  :onya:

I think the stupidest one I've done was checking the oil not long after I'd got my 14. With no centre stand I'll pulled it upright as I crouched next to it, pulled too far & the bike fell on me. Lucky there was a wall behind me, so I just got trapped against that by the bike.

This kind of mad shit is the main reason I bought the ABBA stand. After having bikes up on trolley jacks and pop crates etc and loads of near misses.

I'm putting a mate's 14 up on axle stands soon as it needs fork seals

I made a couple of stands to fit under the frame rails to support the front of the GSX when needing to take the front wheel off or the forks out. The pic doesn't really show it very well, but you'll get the idea.  It works well & the bike is stable, but I also strapped the back down as an extra measure.

Chap known to the bride parked his 'S'Type Jag into the neighbours pool. I've seen the photo. No handbrake on and not in park. Down the drive through a fence and into the pool
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

They do park Jags in funny places. This one was near where i lived 40odd years ago. Car salesman had drove it home, his kid had a little play in it.

Roughly what I do with axle stands. I just put a bit of cloth over the top of them for other people's bikes so they don't scratch the frame.

One of the biggest repairs I have done as a panelbeater was on a near new X300 Jaguar. Lovely car, burgundy with cream leather interior.
Young smarmy salesman at the Jag dealership took his hot date out in it. He lost control hit a power pole with the left rear quarter panel and finished up in a ditch. I put a complete inner and outer quarter panel, wheel arch, chassis rail, boot floor, parcel shelf, right hand quarter panel, rear panels and boot lid on it. It was a massive job.  A bottle of red wine had smashed and covered the interior.
Insurance wasn't going to pay out as he'd been drinking. So they charged him with unlawfully taking a motor vehicle, then the insurance paid out for the repair. He was entitled to take a car from the lot..... any of the Renaults not a Jag.
Wonder if he impressed the bird ??
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎
