Quote from: KiwiCol on Friday, 21 June  2024, 05:49 AMNow why on earth would you think the Red wire was positive?  Not like it's an electrical convention, oh wait a minute . . .

That's mental!  Who the hell would wire something using red wire as Neg!  Bloody morons!

Well red went to the frame on positive earth cars n bikes, so maybe they're just a bit* behind the times?

Yeah it was still positive then, but...

Ha Ha Chris - my Schuberth has a bluetooth intercom and the range is crap, so the Sena thingy changes it to Mesh which has a range of half a mile plus  :) and of course my TomTom mount and my new usb/c charger  :)

Changed plugs, oil + filter and front wheel bearings. Made a special blend as I had Motul 5000 and Motul 5100 in the shelf, according to Motul webpage both can be blended... So should be ok?  :whistling:

Supposed to start tomorrow a 5 day trip cruising around Finland. Suffering at the moment of a flu and hoping it will not get any worse, otherwise have to rework the whole trip..

Cruising with my R/B K5 since 2012

There's a bit of room left on those bars for more useless tat Notty!

BTW you missed the decimal point in 30.0 miles.

Quote from: Hooli on Tuesday, 18 June  2024, 10:20 PMHmm, just been googling for stators & rewinds etc.
Chinky ones are £44 upwards & look correct in pics, so I've ordered one to see what happens.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/315167232849

I'll see what I think of it before I fit it, but they are hardly a technical thing so should be fine. I'll keep the (previously rewound) genuine one & if this new one doesn't last I'll go back to getting the proper one rewound.

Just to update this, the stator turned up yesterday & looks correct when sat on my kitchen table. Not had chance to fit it yet, so it remains untested so far.

How did doing this decade's mileage all in go, go?

All that stuff Notty, Ducati Scrambler rider local, out does you, he has ash tray and stubby cooler for his beer, foam container our 375ml beers fit into.

Andre

Now, those accessories add real value to the bike  :clapping:

BMW K1600GT, if you buy the higher spec one has fold out vents in the side the fairing for hot weather (the chrome strip moves) those holes happen to exactly the right size for a drinks bottle & the airflow keeps them cold.

Now that's good design.

GSXKING

@Grog and @Hooli don't give him any more ideas please, he'll have no handle bar space left  :stir:  :stir:  :stir:
