So off to hospital I went bike of to a yard from the police 👮 good thing was that two guys from my Hmp saw the hole thing and stopped to get traffic control and get his details and to help me out call my work ,  so the bike is looking as a write off from what the insurance says from my discption of the damage and I can't  got to work for two weeks ,got the bike back home sat  but the damage is
Ping farming gone
Both crash bars both exhaust gone front left brake is binding right foot rest is us and it's moved the mounting to wear it was into the frame tank took a handle bar strike rear faring  r h d brake calliper gone as well as the brake reservoir grounded rear faring rear wheel took a bashing  handle bars gone scratch and bumps all over both sides  oh and my helmet is fucked to  as well as jacket bottoms gloves boots

The piss thing is that she was just fitted with new front and rear brake pads discs and tyres full service and mot and new fog lights tyre were the new road Michalien road 5  so I wait and see as to

The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Kiwifruit

Pleased you're ok Mrg. Sorry to hear about the bike. Hopefully you get a good result from your insurance.
Feel for you bro.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

ARH

MRG... bikes can be repaired/ replaced... not that saying that will make you feel any better....just glad to hear you're ok!

seth

Sorry for your news buddy
I hope you heal fast .
If the bike is cheap from the insurance sell the bits here or if we can help get it fixed up .
If not just take the cash and start again .
Main thing is you are going to be ok.

Mister Fishfinger

Really sorry to hear your bad news. I hate it when they come out with lame excuses. If you can't see where you're going, don't pull out. Dozy bastard.

Anyway you'll be feeling down for a while but the main thing is you will live to ride another day. We love our bikes but at the end of the day they are just metal and plastic, they can be repaired or replaced.

Hope you feel better soon.

Mrg

Thank you guys for the very positive help and surpport  and I always could count on your help and support thank you brother and lady's out ther ,
The one piss thing is I was only on the bike cos the mot on the car was being done
Lol 😂 I blamed the wife as I stopped to text her ten mins earlier if I'd have just gone to work I'd have missed the car 🙂
But yes wait and see how long they drag it out
I'd like to get cash and buy the bike back and put her back on the road ,but wait and see
look check and look again  then you see the fool

@Mrg hope you get well, mate! Bike damage is nothing comparing to health damage.

But regarding "I did't see you". There is noting to do. We have to accept we are invisible, and act like this. We are invisible, but not invincible, so we have to do what ever we can, to predict and avoid accidents. Unfortunately - not always it succeed.

Really shit news Mrg, thinking of you mate.

Some light hearted news that some of you might like to hear:

After a year of owning the 1400 and not being fully satisfied with it's performance (due to poor care from previous owners) i got it working perfectly last night. I'd done everything I could find on this forum but I finally pulled my finger out and did the external filter mod and WOAH MUMMA!
No more flat spots, revs hard to redline, smooth as too!
Also installed a DNA air filter which seems to work way better then the K&N filter or the stock filter I've used in the past: it has a +50mm opening

Anyway just wanted to say thanks heaps :) really glad I stuck with the bike!

Thats my mantra Northern.
"I am invisible......they never see me"

I learned that at 15 courtesy of some old duffer that said the same old "l didnt see you"
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Thats great Dan well done :onya:

That's real bad news MRG.  The positive is you're going to mend, doesn't sound too good for the bike though, could be frame damage in the mix as well. To buy it back for parts, only you can tell whether it's worth the price at the time, you know what's there & what condition it's in.  Like the tyres, brand new etc.
Get well soon mate & make the decisions slowly.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎
