Just off outside to clean mine AGAIN!
Rode home from work in a monsoon last evening and it's stinking dirty again :furious:

Since I started back at work mid January after my hip operation, I haven't yet had one whole three days of dry commutes..This week was close..Five out of six journeys were dry..Last night however was a really nasty wet and very windy ride

It was a lovely* evening for a ride last night wasn't it? I swam back from Bute on the 14 & almost drowned on the A1. There are the odd occasions when I miss using a full face lid...

It was horrendous...My kit is still drying out on the clothes airer in the lounge :furious:

As for riding with an open face lid...SOD THAT!!

I haven't been cold riding to be honest.
The heated gloves have gone away now until next winter and I'm back riding in leather troosers again as opposed to my winter textiles. The winter liner however is still in my jacket as it gets a bit nippy on my 35 mile morning ride to work!

Well weather had better improve for Friday, as I'm off up Derby way for a tour of the Norton factory (maybe even get to get a glimpse of the new V4). On current weather it will be textiles rather than summer gear
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

Best of luck with that Dave :onya:

AND pissing down all day Friday when Mrs F is at work and I was thinking of going out for a blast in the Brecons on the Bandit :furious:

As we were getting al the seasons today I decided to hide in the garage and get the radial calipers Ive been refurbing to put on the 1400 - they have been stripped celaned repainted in a gunmetal grey with all new seals - these calipers were a joy to work on as the level of quality in the Nissins is excellent - brackets are here will test fit this weekend and go from there

Yep - looking at the forecast - piddling down all day for Friday, great day to do the best part of 400 miles on LOL. Ah well, guess it's what the Tex is built for, but even so....damn weather

The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Oil n filter time for mine today, then out on it tomorrow as it's due to be dry & my new lass is here. I'm thinking of Whitby if we get up early enough.

Fitted some new "Shorty" levers I picked up for £20.
If I don't get on with them my 4 year old "Chinky" levers will be going back on and these will be sold :imrgreen:

I have to say that the Chinese levers have stood the test of time and for the money you can't go wrong. They're in as good a condition as the day I fitted them.
You just have to be aware than on span adjuster 1 they don't operate the clutch switch due to them hitting the bar grip before the switch is actuated
