Hi,

My bike came with these adapters installed which move the footpeg location backwards and up.

Does anyone know where they came from or what they are worth?  I prefer the stock location.

Hi Clarence,
Bought a bike with same mod am looking at changing back myself, did you have to change the gearshift linkage when you went back to stock?

Thanks

Just Bandits sell those (or used to) - second hand prices are quite low about £25 roughly, as not many people like or use them.

The spring you show though is not part of the kit - that is the standard spring off the rear brake lever. And as horse says, there should be a short extension rod for the standard gear change rod.
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

GSXbarmy interesting you say the kit comes with a gearshift rod extension I am in the process of taking my extensions off and the rod is one piece I believe I will have to buy a OEM rod and M/Cyl hose if someone has access to their standard setup bike the rod on my bike measures 190mm (excluding thread) if someone can measure the standard and let me know so I can order a new one if necessary that would be great ( getting prepped for the plethora of jokes to follow re measuring , rods etc but accurate measure and not the inaccurate inflated size you tell the wife would be advantageous)

I just bought a replacement rod from the local Suzuki dealership. That was the only new part I had to buy to go back to stock and it was pretty cheap.
I wasn't sure which spring was the correct one since with the kit installed there were two springs in series connecting to the brake light switch. I guess I chose the wrong one to keep in place. It would explain why the brake light no longer activates.

Horse

Thanks Clarence I assumed I would need a new rod but was just trying to confirm, will order one ,already organised the shorter Mcyl hose so that should be it ,

Thanks

Maybe the kit that came with that locator kit had a new rod; the one from Just Bandits had an an extension you bolted onto the standard rod.

I had a set of these on my Mk1 Bandit 1200 for a very short time.
I only bought them to try as a Bandit Owners Club member was selling them cheap. They came with an extended length gear change rod.
I rode the bike once and took them off as they made the riding position very uncomfortable.
I guess if you are quite a short person, then they'd be ok on the GSX14..If you have long legs, they will make the already cramped riding position even worse.
Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups!

About 130 mm, just measured as requested.

I wouldnt mind a set that went that amount forward, would help my hips. I find 14 pegs in a perfect position, just my hips dont agree. Have ridden Hardlys n Rockets with fwd controls, hard to get used to. Guess it would become normal after a while.

Horse

Andre,
Thanks for that just wanted to be sure , have ordered the rod to get it back to standard

Thanks again

I enquired about these at Just Bandits a few years back and was told they no longer make them as there wasn't much call for them so I bought Coerce rearsets from Webike in Japan, top quality stuff.

bigian, more pics of your bike. looks like some quality stuff fitted.
