Hi all, I'm after some advice on whether to service or not? I have a 2005 very standard bike with 9700 miles on the clock with full history.

I only did 970 miles last year and 250 the year before yet serviced as per the requirements on both occasions.

I'm likely to cover less than a 1000 miles this summer and bike has been wintered in a warm garage.

I'm thinking about skipping a service as the bike is mint and only ever used on dry days and as I said only covered 970 miles since it's last service on 20th April last year.

I'm trying to save some money and £200 on a needless service seems a good place to start!

Any advice welcome.

Thx

If it's only done that mileage is be changing the oil .
Should be changed every 4000miles or yearly .

Nice first post by the way  :frustrated:

Just change the oil each year, filter every two. Aside from that, you just need to change your brake and clutch fluid every 2 years, and then only get it serviced then at the mileage not time intervals.
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement
