Gear change around suburbia wasn't brilliant yesterday. Was OK, but sometimes it sort of jumped a bit going into gear or felt a fraction harsh. I put this down to it being new or the dumb arse owner needing practice. Was fine at speed and the quick shifter was great, just lower gears around the city.

This morning I went into the menu. SETTINGS... SPORT MODE.... QUICK SHIFTER.... OFF.  Lower speed lazy size 10 gear changes are now perfect again. Quick shifter is very good but isn't doing me any favours in normaly riding. Very easy to turn it back on when I want to play.

I've switched the quick shifter off on my Ducati as well Tony, it works when giving it some but at normal speed it's not very smooth and I can shift smother without it.  Cannot turn off quick shifter on the BMW but it is a lot better then the Ducati even at low revs/speed.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Thanks for the reply.
I feel better about doing it now.

Ride number 3, another 270K's / 168 miles.

Yatala, Bearded Dragon, Canungra, goat track up to Tamborine, Bearded Dragon, Beaudesert, Boonah, Peaks Crossing, Centenary Hyw back to the city.

Quite happy that I did 270ks in sport mode with full boost, a fair bit of mountain roads, and several stop / starts / dicking around, and I still had 2 bars showing on the fuel gauge.   My benchmark that I judge fuel range is a town called Childers, 307k from my house when I head North on the highway. Busa and GSX14 made it, the B-King wouldn't.

Is that a '99 Gen 1 there really?

Yeah, couple of the Busa club guys have the "1999 Copper / Bronze" Gen-1's.

The most collectable of the Busa's.
Very first year and the most popular 99 model colour.

I'm looking around at another Busa, not seriously after one, just checking prices at the moment. There was a high mileage Gen-1 for $3,995 but I really fancy a Gen-2 next. Favourite colour is the 2008 model, Blue with gold wheels but I'd take any colour Gen-2 if the price was right.

Tony I love that Kwaka of yours a lot. sadly could never afford one.

My Suzuki purchase priorities (wife undoubtedly won't permit, she has this weird idea we should pay down mortgage etc) I

1. TL1000R (or TL1000S)

2, Busa Gen 2.
