There was a feature on the news where a bird (hawk/falcon?) Had been trained to take out a drone in-flight.
Started out with nothing, still got most of it left.

According to the paper last night, trained birds of prey were considered but the risk of damage to the birds from drone rotors was too high. Apparently this is a large drone.

Anyway they have arrested a couple of people now so we'll see.

Speaking with my friend who does the live footage from Wanganui last night. He was telling me one of his cameramen will be using a drone. Be interesting to see how that goes. They have permission to use it.
Will see if l can get the live feed address for anyone interested. Think you have to pay to view.
