Tally

Bought mine in 08 with 600 miles on the clock now has 12,900  :smoke:

Hooli

Some of you lot must be on the original tank of fuel!

Mine was on 7,452 when I first test rode it in '07. I picked it up the next day.

Irish in Oz

Found this in a shop today. 3 owner's since new 2009 not even 8000 miles, you should be able to read the price tag in GBP.
Maybe all 3 didn't like the 14.

Hooli

I've got the newspaper advert where the first owner sold my 14, it had 120miles on in the advert! that is less than a tank of fuel!

That shows they really gave it a fair go before getting rid!   Their loss, your gain.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Red Biker

A lovely Black K5 with 20k miles, 6k of them are mine

The wife left me as she thinks I'm obsessed with the bike, I can't believe it as we've only been together 10,000 miles!

Many a Donkey has lost its hoof on the rocky road, don't be that Donkey!

There are obviously a lot of 1400's parked for long periods in the UK.

When I bought my K7 at 11 months old, the previous owner had done precisely 39 miles on it. He had subsequently bought a BMW and Harley and was just buying another bike so needed the room in the garage so had the dealership I bought it from sell it on his behalf. Still have the shop advert somewhere.
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

I bet the first thing you did was clean it though. All those filthy miles of road dirt  :stir:

Of course! It had 11 months worth of dust on it  :rofl2:

(Wife went mad when it came to the end of the summer though, I'd clocked just under 1,000 miles then from when I bought it (so bike was now 18 months old) and went to the man cave to strip it down a bit for winter/cover it up etc etc, anyway, 2 hours later the whole bike was in bits all over the garage ready to have a few coats of polish, literally just the engine in the frame. She of course didn't think it dirty/grubby, more that I'd stupidly pulled a brand new bike to bits. Over the years after that she came to understand look on with dismay  :rofl2:)

Of course now I have the Triumph, 30 mins with a jetwash and that's it. No shiny bits to polish  :bugga: Lost my hobby after all those years...but get out riding more   :boogie:
