Got a K5 which I've had for 6 years. Unable to ride for 6 months because of knee replacement, but trying to work out ways around this.

Welcome buddy, Regards trying to work out ways around - there is no quick fix, surgery takes time to repair unfortunately you can't rush it. Having said that when my wife had her knees done, she took up yoga to help get the movement back, ok had to be careful with some of the exercises but it did help get her full movement back quicker
