i was with my mate Jezza yesterday he does a lot of tyre trials for Bridgestone which are on the Bandit, I was telling him I run Angel GT's on the 14 and he thinks they are a great tyre (A spec of coarse).
He getting KTM to ship his Superduke back over so I can try it out.

Well I just replaced the Michie PR4 on the front of mine (with another the same), but will go for a new front and rear when next change needed. Based on other reports, seriously considering the Pirelli Angel GT. Not sure whether its likely to be better than a Michelin PR5 (of which I have no experience either) but then again if the Pirelli is as good as the reports here suggest, it doesn't really matter.

I had a quick look on the Pirelli website and it states there are NO Pirelli motorcycle tyre dealers in Brisbane.  I suspect that's not accurate though...

When I bought my 1400 it had Michelins fitted.

The front needed replacing fairly soon so I went with the Pirelli Angel GT recommended by my local supplier. Soon after I got a screw in the rear tyre and needed it replaced as well with a matching rear.

All done without any recommendations from my Irish Test Pilot friend and 1400 Guru!

Very happy with Angel GTs at both ends. Great to hear such positive feedback from Forum members on mileage wear.

I'll ask the question before Irish does ... did you get "A" spec? :stir:
If you look like your passport photo then you're too sick to travel.

Thanks for raising the issue Snapey. I wasn't aware there were options.

I checked both tyres and they each have an "A" after the GT.

Very happy with both and have covered 8,000kms very little sign of wear apart from the usual scuffing.

I'm a fairly easy going rider as Jeff will testify.

The GT's were recommended and fitted by Procycles.

While I've read mixed reviews of this outlet they have been good to deal with regarding tyres.

I like to take the wheels off myself and get the tyres fitted. This allows me to check things are correct and I lube the diff splines on the GS1000G.

Do we need A Spec then?  :whistling: or just Irish?  :stir:  Why does he want A Spec?  :whatever: Thought they were for busses like the Wing etc

A tougher casing is probably not a bad idea here in Australia.

Your roads might be a lot smoother than some of the goat tracks over here.

I think i got banned sprouting about Angels. Isnt that correct Col. My front lasted 19th ks, rear in pic just clicked up 22th. Reports on new 5 Michelins on large bikes are saying up to 40th ks. Incredible. Front in pic is just 3 th ks. Best tyres ive used, Diavel has Rossos, i cant feel any advantage.

Well in Australia anyway you will be supplied A spec unless you ask for B, I was told this by the main importer Carlisle Tyres.

Shit l got it all wrong.
Thought he meant "A bro"
As in."got new tyres A Bro"

Also think some folk get 19 years out of their tyres not 19 thousand km's.  :rofl2:
